Search engine optimization remains one of the leading strategies in digital marketing. Because of this fact, marketers and entrepreneurs continue to look for newly innovative ways to optimize their brand’s website content. As SEO continues to change it is becoming more important to dial-in on on-page technical SEO prior to obtaining links. Linking to a poorly optimized webpage will have low-level results. Focusing on on-page SEO is critical to business success.

    Why Go With On-Page Optimization?

Onsite SEO is about optimizing an entire website, targeting areas like site mapping and permalink structures. On-page SEO concentrates on content quality, creating targeted keywords and headings for optimal traffic. Here is what Shout Me Loud has to say about the importance of lacing SEO into our website’s content: “Search engines are nothing but a set of algorithms. They look into various factors to rank your page for certain keywords. Now, we need to help search engines identify that target keyword from the post in order to make that post more relatable to readers.”

    The Latest On-Page SEO Techniques

    1. Create an Enticing Title.

The more interesting blog post titles will attract a higher number of clicks on your web page. The key-wording and phrasing of the title should be clear, to the point, and designed to pique of the interest of the target audience. It’s also a good idea to keep the title length short, under 65 characters. Avoid repetitive words if possible.

    2. Use Attractive Permalink Structures.

Displayed URLs should look attractive and uncomplicated. To achieve this, only post URLs that avoid special characters, symbols, and commas. Dashes are widely accepted in permalinks.

    3. Employ Heading and Meta Tags.

Tags still play a vital role in SEO, describing a page’s content to visitors and algorithms. Title and meta tagging also help to organize content. The best Meta tags are user-friendly description that conveys relevant and clear information about the page.

    4. Think About Keyword Usage.

Keyword density should be about 1.5 percent per page. Also, think about the placing of keywords; the first and last paragraphs of a page are ideal places. Instead of keyword stuffing, key-wording should be worked in very naturally into a page’s content. Nobody wants to read a web page that is full of awkward, clunky phrases.

    5. Use Image Optimization.

Image searching is an often overlooked aspect of SEO. Key-wording in the image titles can create user engagement. Also remember that overly large images can slow down the loading time of your site, which can hurt your Google rank.

    6. Aim For a Specific Word Count.

If you’re creating blog content as part of your SEO strategy, the new standard word count per post is at least 1,000 words. This is especially effective if you want to lace highly competitive keywords into the blog post.

    7. Use Internal and External Linking.

Interlinking is the placing of your own links into your site. For example, a blog post that mentions image searching could feature a link to another blog post you’ve created about image SEO. External linking should be used for trusted sites only. You don’t want to link your visitors to untrustworthy websites.

    8. Write Interesting Content.

Low-quality content will do little to encourage visitors to stay. High-quality content will engage the audience and higher your ranks among the search engines.
