Social media has completely changed the game for home sellers.

Not only has it enabled them to put their properties in front of more buyers, but it also provides a platform to display more pictures and relevant information about the home.

All of this equates to homes selling faster, and for more money, than ever before.

Well, that is, as long as you know what you’re doing when it comes to using social media to sell your home.

To make sure that you’re doing it the right way, let’s take a look at a few online strategies that all home sellers should be utilizing.  Image result for How to Use Social Media to Sell Your Home

Utilizing Social Media the Right Way

Given the power of using social media to sell your home, it’s somewhat alarming that many people still don’t utilize it.

In reality, however, social media platforms like Facebook, YouTube, and Pinterest are amazing for getting your home out there for potential buyers to see.

Not only are they free to use, but they also open up the opportunity for your friends, family, and followers to increase your reach by sharing your post.

But how do you create a post that people share?

Well, it starts with creating an intriguing post on the right platform.

Creating an Intriguing Post About Your Home

Facebook is currently the optimal social media platform for helping you sell your home.

This is mostly due to the fact that it gives you the ability to attach photos and/or videos while also encouraging interaction and conversation.

So, if you have a Facebook account, that’s where you should start.

From there, creating an intriguing post comes down to three things. They include:Image result for How to Use Social Media to Sell Your Home

    • Taking great photos of your home
    • Creating a description that is simplistic and not too salesy
    • Asking people to share

When it comes to the photos you provide, it’s often most efficient to turn them into a virtual tour by creating a YouTube video that can then be easily attached to your post.

As far as your description, it’s best to keep it short and sweet. Use the right words and highlight the top features of the home while avoiding awkward, salesy lingo.

If the home needs repairs, you can choose to talk about them briefly in the post or wait to answer questions via private messages when you start receiving a response.

It’s important to always end your post by asking your friends and family to share. It doesn’t have to sound cheesy and desperate.

In fact, it could be something as simple as, “If you think someone you know might be interested, it’d be a huge help if you shared my post. Thanks!”

    Conclusion

If you’re able to use social media the right way, and create an intriguing post that gets shared, you can significantly increase your chances of selling your home quickly.

You may even be able to forgo the high costs of hiring a realtor, which could save you thousands.

With the fact that it’s free, what do you really have to lose?
